Dramaturgical analysis means that we resemble actors on a stage as we play out various rolls based on the statues they have. Erving Goffman born in 1922, died in 1982, was a sociologist who analyzed social interaction. In dramaturgical sociology it is argued that the elements of human interactions are dependent upon time, place, and audience. It suggests that a person's identity is not a stable and independent psychological entity, and it is constantly remade as a person interacts with others.  Goffman said that then we move in and out of front and back stage and then the prospective taken, such as if you're a cook in the back stage or if you're a diner in the restaurant and we always want to get back stage if we can .Our impressions are given off mostly on the front stage. A front stage is where a performance takes place, any time an audience is present and the back stage is when there are performers present but the audience is not. And when two or more people are present, there can really be no true back stage. Sometimes people uses impression management which is when peoples efforts to present themselves that are favorable to their own interests or image. Some also do face saving behavior which are strategies used to rescue our performance when we experience a potential or actual loss of face.

Sociologists are like directors observing and analyzing what happens in humans lives. Typically we care about how the audience views us. We present ourselves the way we want to be seen. We wear a series of masks based on how we want to be seen. There isn't any one face behind the masks because we keep changing based on the others around us.

One thing I can positively do to benefit me and society is to keep a balance within myself and society.
One thing I can negatively do to me and society would be to never be myself and keep acting how others want me to act.

One thing society can do to positively benefit me would be to maintain the beauty of what was here before everyone else.
One thing society can do to negatively affect me would be to change/limit to what I am exposed to news wise throughout the world.
